The art piece I chose was "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper (thus the title of the blog). Nighthawks is a slightly depressing painting, much like the rest of Hopper's paintings. The picture is "about" a married couple, probably past their silver anniversery, and losing patience. When I look at a painting I usually try to find some sort of a background story, I ask questions to myself like: "What isn't shown here?" Or "Whats hiden?", "What is the artist trying to say about the main charactures" (if there are charactures). And these are the questions I am asking of Nighthwaks.

The painting you have chosen has an immense amount to think about.
